Tim Murray

Tim Murray is CEO of Cardinal Virtues Consulting and has over 20 years of executive leadership experience. He has a wide array of financial experience and has implemented large scale change management programs.

Tim recently published his first book called “CEO Words of Wisdom (WoWs)”. The WoWs have received significant positive feedback on Amazon and considered a must-read leadership book for 2021.

Tim has an MBA from Vanderbilt University where he graduated Beta Gamma Sigma. He also has degree in Accounting from Susquehanna University. He is also a CPA and speaks basic Arabic.

Tim was with Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) for 12 years and was CEO in the last 7 of those years. He also held the roles of Chief Financial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Supply Chain Officer.

Under Tim's leadership Alba successfully executed the $3 billion Line 6 Project on-time and significantly under budget. Line 6 transformed Alba into the world’s largest smelter ex-China.

In 2020, Harvard published the “Managing Blackout at Alba” case study which focused on Tim’s leadership during a crisis situation. Tim is a guest lecturer at Harvard where the case is taught as part of their top ranked MBA program.

Tim is considered an expert on Safety Management. He also implemented the Six Sigma based "Project Titan" turnaround program which improved Alba's bottom line by over $300 million per year.

Tim also spent 10 years with ARC Automotive where in his last role he was VP & CFO. He played a key role in the building of greenfield manufacturing facilities in both Mexico and China.

Tim is an avid reader and passionate about coaching and mentoring. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Susquehanna University where he teaches classes on the impact of CEO leadership.
